Cute :) Mine are ChickenMcFlurry, Jasper , Hemlock and Magic Mike... if they are keepers they get names :)

At the time I put them in the big brooder they were almost 3 weeks old. But they do like being able to run around and try and fly in the big brooder. It is fun to just sit and watch. I am also pretty sure the little Black one is a boy, always on guard, puts itself between the other chicks and us, chirps the warning when we suddenly appear. Yay, we want one to be a boy. And I think the Black over the Blue, Porcelain, Dark Partridge, and Buff/Light Partridge(still don't know for sure which) would make for good color production, right?(still learning the genetics stuff)

I love your brooder set up! Just wonderful that they have room to run!

I don't know what your goals are but if you want to breed and show standard colors, your mix doesn't work. Blue and black is good, but partridge need to cross with partridge and buff to buff. Otherwise you get interesting sometime pretty colors that aren't standard. For instance buff to partridge will probably get a partirdge that is too light and red or a buff that's too dark and has a lot of smutt (black or blue in the wings and tail). It's hard to have all the colors you want and still be able to breed what you want.

BTW that Mayonnaise recipe is a keeper lol. One little secret my mom always taught me is never talk when making mayonnaise. I also add a little dab of vinegar at the end

You will decide want you want to do :) I had to go through that having bought some for just pets and then totally changed what my goals were ! It probably wont take long to develop some favorite colors :)
