Here are some more pictures. The last two chicks were fathered by some of my large fowl boys. (poor hen!) You can see the middle chick ended up sired by a barred plymouth rock. It looks blue barred. Very strange. Last one here is fathered by a naked neck rooster, as he is the only boy I have who carries dominant white (which this chick shows - black dots on back too).

First chick is first generation sizzle x silkie. It does appear to be a frizzled silkie and not a second generation sizzle. Let me know what you think on that theory

my siliky is holding her head down almost between her feet sometimes she flips over n starts shaking n turning her head from side to side. any ideas or what i can do?

A few of you here use fermented feed. I thought you'd appreciate this picture. Hehehee

**Note it doesn't have a scissor beak. It's just the angle + there is a seed that gives it that illusion**

I don't feed fermented feed, but that's awesome.

lovely coop...do your silkies really walk up and down that ramp? amazing...I think i baby mine too much...lol

Thank you...I got my girls from a friend and she said they would not use the ramp at her house. For a couple nights I would lead them up the ramp but the ramp was too slick for them. I had some rubber shelf lining and decided to try that on the ramp. They have no trouble going up and down the ramp now. They are pros! Nothing wrong with babying your babies.
Up she goes..she is the last one in and the last one out.

I got really bored the other night and thought I would tinker around with this neat website builder on Wix.com. Ended up building a website for my chickens! I think it is ridiculously hysterical.

Some day I might make it a little more formal and not so silly looking. lol

The website builder is really cool. Gives you pretty much limited options for web design. I like to tinker around with things like this occasionally, just for fun.

Sounds like she has a brain injury silkies are prone to head injuries due to their large crest.
