Silkie thread!

So far, 3 have hatched (one needed a little help) and 2 more are pipping that I can tell. This one is the driest, and I can already tell he has feathering on all of his sweet little toes.
 
I am having a horrible time with Northern Fowl Mites...they are tryin real hard to kill my black silkie girl. I have dusted her, coop and everyone else with sevin...sprayed..cleaned coops...everything...thye seem to like her best. Just when I think they are gone...POOF they are back on her! I have heard that you can use Frontline (for dogs). That is my next step. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!!

I did read about frontline on this thread also, visit and ask them they might be able to give you the recipe,(how to dilute) and then spray under the wings and around the vent
 
Another SAFE mousetrap if you don't have small children or other small pets is a 5 gal bucket of water partially fulll with a ramp as the only water source for the mice. 

A way to improve on that is to cover the water surface with BOSS. They willingly jump in thinking they've found themselves a tasty snack ;)
