could just be adult crest feathers growing in, but it is still pretty young. Definitely looks girly though.

what were the two characters in the TV show "I Spy", the actors were Robert Culp and Bill Cosby, so Bob and Bill would be my choice if you can't think of the characters names. So our pair of silkies, one white and one black are in need of names. I told DW to go with Anakin and vader.....or yin and yang...what yall thing?
yall....yes im from texas.![]()
Hi All, First time poster/reader to this thread. Didnt really think silkies were going to be in my first flock, but alas they were there on saturday when i picked out my new babies and came home with a pair os silkie bantams, 1 white and 1 black. And are quickly growing to some of my most 'eyeballed' babies seeing as i have cleaned them both for krusty-butt already, and DW cleaned the white one again this morning.
Do silkies consistantly have an issue with this? I have cleaned them per how-tos that i have read on BYC, applied some vasoline to the vent to help prevent future instances.I think Either they just are prone to this and need to be observed closely for the first week or so? Or i didnt put enough vasolene....All you pros out there any insight would be great for the new silkie man here!
Thanks!
i found mine in the vinegar isle alsoI use Unpasteurized, Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar in their water. About a tablespoon per gallon. It helps keep pasty but away(firms up the poop). You can get it in most heath food sections of the grocery stores.
