Silkie thread!

What is a champion silkie. I have a white one with no feathers on her neck. The person I got her from said she was a champion silkie. I also have a blue hen and a shadow rooster. I am a newbie at this. How often do you bath them and do you bath the whole chicken or just their feet?

um... probably means she won show champion lol. Is she a showgirl or "naked neck"? Also, there is no such thing as a "shadow" silkie... do you mean black? or grey? Do you have pics? They would help a lot =)

Thanks PF, hope its not too late, I already taped their legs,.. fingers crossed! wait... not theirs but mine... lol! Is there something I should do to avoid this? I think the nest floor was too smooth...
In my hatcher, I use strawberry containers (plastic with lots of holes) and I put a folded up paper towel in the bottom, a piece of burlap on top of that, and then the eggs with plenty of room for hatching. This provides good traction for their little feet, plenty of absorption to help them dry off, and good air circulation as well.
