Silkie thread!

Don't panic yet!
She's just driving me nuts! She really enjoyed her soaking, I let her stay there for a half hour. Then I gave her a wet mash of a little food, some parsley flakes, and some minced garlic(parsley and garlic are supposed to be laying stimulants) while she was in her bath and she happily gobbled it up, the spoiled brat

. So now her and Ice are in their indoor cage with the ceramic heat bulb on soaking up the warmth.

So, we had a great day at the CT Poultry Breeders show! Only 5 silkies entered in the open show, and only 2 splashes (one of them being mine). We still had a good time and I'm happy with the BV my cockerel got. Next step will be the Little Rhody show in May!

Yay! Awesome! He is gorgeous! It was great meeting you today!

I agree! She's produced beautiful blue/gray babies from a blue rooster. Now that I bred her to my Lavender rooster, she's producing partridge like chicks. I had one hatch out that was a light gray with chocolate brown stripes. Very interesting! I decided to put her back in with the lavender rooster to produce more of these interesting babies. I'm no longer interested in breeding her to the blue rooster. The Lavender breeding got my attention.
I agree! Keep it up!
