I just got some new silkie chicks today. One has this foot. Can you all help this newbie fix this little foot??

Man! Poor chick!
Try wrapping it with a band-aid. Make sure the toes aren't curled, they need to be straight, evenly spaced, and in their natural position.

As in go broody again? The soonest one of my hens has gone broody again was 3 months after hatching a clutch. Others wait as long as a year. It just depends on the hen. Brooding is a stress on a hen, they need a time period to recover.

So after about an hour and a half of trying to splint the toes with wooden skewers I gave up! I straightened the toes flat and then wrapped them with coban. I'll try that for a day to see if it helps.
