haven't convinced myself on gender yet. I think either a boy and a girl, or two girls. One has a definitely larger comb than the other, but no streamers or other signs yet. I guess only time will tell. I would really like one to be a male. I only have one now, and I would like a 'backup' just in case. I don't know what kind of bug they got, they still sneeze from time to time, but the rest of my silkie flock, with whom they were kept for a while, show no signs of it.

Hope they look like my favorite girl when they grow up

she looked very much like they do at that age.

They are just gorgeous! Love the glowing photos!!
What type of silkie is this finding it hard to get one in the UK!!!!

Lol I know they are white silkies I want one as fluffy as this one!! Imposible to find in the UK!!
It is difficult but not impossible, depending on your location. You might want to find a poultry show somewhat near you. You might find a breeder there to make connect with. Also, you can try posting a wanted ad in the buy-sell-trade section of BYC.

We used Pet head Feeling Flakey on ours. . I think any dept store carries it. They seemed to do just fine with it. Plus they smell like strawberries when they are done. :)
Aww! I want more babies lol!

Thanks I got a few shampoos then that will work. Now the vinegar thing would that work well on dogs and cats? My son had to wash the dog this morning cuz the dog throw up in my bed last night snuggle with me the cat. So he put my bedding in the washer and washed the dog but I wonder since we gotta was the other dog if we rinse with vinegar. Thanks again for all the help I means a lot to me.

I don't know about vinegar. It's pretty strong. Diluted dawn would probably be ok, but be careful with anything that strips out oils. When you bathe them try to get them blow dried as quickly as possible, and it is a challenge to keep the soap and water out of their faces, other than that its fairly simple. I think ours actually enjoyed their bath.

Vinegar mixed with water would be fine, it is good for their coat. I use straight white vinegar on skunked dogs and it gets the oils out. As a rinse it is just to get the excess soap out. Dawn mixed with water would not give you the same result, it would just leave it more soapy. You can start with dawn and water, and finish with vinegar and water if you prefer.

Thanks I will use diluted vinegar (as you described) and I refer to use the shampoo you told me in the other thread since I have access to them.

Checking out their new run! I feel like they've doubled in size since Monday! Little fluffy weeds!

Does the darker one look buff to you guys? There is just such a difference between her (they will all be hers until proven otherwise!) and the lighter/yellow girl!
You're not kidding about how fast they grow. My little ones are also growing like weeds!
My little Booker and Ashes enjoyed a day in the run eating salad and bugs. :)

Very pretty. They're both fluffing out nicely.

They're both beautiful! I love the way you caught the sun shining through their feathers - very pretty.

It was such a pretty day yesterday that I let the chicks out for their first outside time. They're a month old now. They were able to roam around securely in the run while the big girls were free ranging in the yard. They scratched around in the new sand, ate some tiny grub worms, took a dust bath and then a nap in the sun. All in all, a very good day.

The big chickens weren't too sure how they felt about the little chickens taking over their run. LOL

Love the picture of the big chickens checking out the babies!

I think one of my girls went broody! I had 3 eggs set aside. Let's hope she hatches them out! EEE! I wish I had hung on to some of the ones I gave my friend to put in her incubator!
