Congrats!!I'm getting a new pair of silkies today!! I have to meet her at 10:30 i'm extactic! Here's pics she sent. then I went yesterday to check again to make sure when the silkie babies are coming in at my local feed store (they are so going to know me by name)and they are coming in later today or possibly early tomorrow instead of Saturday. so I am two for two woot woot.![]()

I'm just learning about this whole splash thing myself. But even the SOP tells you what color they're supposed to be and it's the same for all breeds.Thank you for making this point!!! It makes me crazy... Splash has to have two blue genes.. there is no black splash!!! and blue splash is just "splash" It makes thing so confusing to people to use all these different terms. You could always crack open the egg and check for a bullseye =)i just got another silkie egg today from my newer hen and her mate so far i have 6 of her eggs and then i finally got a egg from my silkie she is a year old and her mate is a year old i had them since they were 4 weeks old and now i got her first egg but im not sure if her mate is mating her or not i hope so .. she is a black silkie and her mate is a grey i think i have a pic of him if you guys want to see them
