Silkie thread!

I have 2 13 and 1/2 week old Silkies. They are so cute and fluffy, and have an adorable personality! I am not sure if they are roosters or hens yet but am hoping they are both hens! One is a blue named Baby and one I am unsure the color of named Mimi. It is either a blue or a splash. It has the wrong face coloring. Here are some pics. I love Silkies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mimi Baby
Beautiful!

The splash has too red of a comb for 13 weeks (besides being the wrong color) and the Blue has a huge bump there on the nose..

I hope I am wrong....

is it possible that these r from cuckoo breedings the top looks like a male def. from the yellow skin and red comb shows cuckooness and boyish

Do y'all like my new rooster? I guess I will get vaulted non bearded and vaulted/bearded and non vaulted/non bearded and non vaulted/bearded chicks.

I don't believe it works that way... Typically as already stated people do not breed bearded and non-bearded because you end up with poor quality beardeds.

I'd say the first one looks more like a hen to me, but may have cuckoo in her which is why her comb and waddles are bright red. Cuckoo silkies tend to have very bright red combs/waddles. Bottom does look like a male blue.
I have two chicks that are 10 weeks old. Any guesses as to their sex?

Chick number 1

Chick number 2

First one is splash boy, second blue might be a hen but hard to tell, comb is fairly large but I have seen it like that before on a girl.

I have two 7wk old white silkies that are a hoot to watch. One is half the size of the other but holds her own. I started my flock with two EE, one of which is white and goes by Flossie. Flossie is 2nd in command to Bossy who is a beautiful assorted Brown pattern. When I introduced my seven assorted new chicks, which includes the two silkies Flossie felt the need to pop everyone at least once in an hour. Everyone that is except the silkies. There is no mirror so Flossie can't see she is the same color. Why is it that the silkies are immune to the hazing? The popping only lasted two days, now Flossie just does the occasional show of power scattering the others...again not the silkies???????

I will still breed them so see what happens. I'm curious to find out anyways. :D
