Silkie thread!

So I'm thinking I'm going to keep 3 girlies out of my current lot once I can get them all sexed... and then order a splash pullet from somewhere. I'd love bearded and SQ, or at least close to SQ (I don't plan to show, but I want at least one giant puff ball!). Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get one from?

I still have probably at least a month, if not longer, before I can get certains on my grays. They're only 2 months, I'm thinking both of my buffs are boys though. They're getting long, different colored feathers in their butt puffs.

Here are my silkies that I hatched myself. These were my first hatchies. The first one is half the weight of the other two and is the same age. I don't know why she is that small. Also are the second two silkies nice.

I like the first picture of your non-silkie. She looks like she's carefully stepping over that rock. What breed is she?

I have one my daughter's freaking out about because she thinks her Cottonball possibly a rooster when she wants a girl. She says it's getting a "roo do."

Here's a picture of the culprit. I don't see it myself, just a unisex chick. Based on top knots, I have two suspected hens, one suspected cockerel and seven showing no sign of gender at all. With my luck those seven will turn out to be boys.

i just picked up 3 silkies and due to past experience, i just want to varify these are purebred and the right genders? i should have 2 hens and a rooster
