Black and Blue feathers will sun burn and turn brown. Blue is a wide range of colors, all the way from almost black to very light Blue. I would say your girl is blue with sunburn.

Sonoran Silkies to the rescue! Hoping it is heat related. I'm in New Orleans where it's been 90+ with a zillion % humidity. Have him separated in a crate with me where it's quiet and temp controlled. Have pedialyte with iron-free poly-vi-sol free choice. Breathing seems to have improved just a little. Keeping my fingers crossed on that.
I have had several like that, they end up being Partridge.

I don't know if the girls get "leakage" like the boys do - or if that could be causing the brown look? She could be a Partridge based Blue - if some of her chicks look like partridge/chipmunks that may account for the brownish tint to her feathers.
