This is my latest little partridge . He had splayed leg but the tapes off now and all is well.

That is correct. If she is not a Blue (but she sure looks like one I have here) then you won't get B/B/S. If you only get Blue and Black - then she is a Black. I don't know if the girls get "leakage" like the boys do - or if that could be causing the brown look? She could be a Partridge based Blue - if some of her chicks look like partridge/chipmunks that may account for the brownish tint to her feathers.

WOW!!! that's great info, thank you so much!!! well, we will be finding out in about 7 days!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. These are her first that I'm hatching from her. She didn't like my other rooster, so none of her eggs were fertile. She likes Mr Tough! Mr. T. Tough Stuff, whatever you want to call him LOL.

I don't know her background much, I got her off of someone on craigslist, but she also works at the local feedstore. I see her often and tell her how she's doing I don't know if she knows her background or not. I like her body shape though. I hope these turn out to be nice chicks! Dad is a catdance who I got from someone who lives in massachusets.

He loved hiding under them. I have since put him out with his momma.

Mine is only slightly lighter than your black one but I don't think it can be black.  MAybe just really really blue.  He is so cute either way.  Your chicks are so cute.

So, I can't get my humidity to stay where I want it. Will I be okay just checking weights and adjusting the humidity? And if so, how often would you guys weigh?
