Silkie thread!

The photo does not show her color well. It is definately not Partridge. We have some really nice partridge silkies and they don't look anything like this girl. The color is a mousy dun with barring all over. Very strange!

Brody's Broodello :

Ok here is the update of the strange little colored silkes that I hatched out in my Calico project.

Here is the chick at hatching. The yellow & striped one on the bottom right.

The color is a Brown/Dun Cuckoo pattern, with a light beige on the front & the tail under color is a Lavenderish color. The skin color is black.

Interesting bird, I have two this age & a bunch that just hatched!

Very neat!! Keep us posted on pics the older they get!!

My DW surprised me yesterday with a new Roo. I think he is great looking but I thought I would ask the experts. By the way I like his attitude as well....He is feisty.

Those leg bands always make me think of people on house arrest for some reason.
I guess with the chickens you would call it being on coop arrest!! LOL!!! I no that was bad!!

I think you should send them to me so I can get a better look

JCoogle, your silkies wings should be horizontal not at an angle like that. The head looks great. The tail looks pretty good also. The wings need a little work!
