The babies met their parents today. It went pretty well, except for hen pecking here and there. Daddy Booker was very sweet to them though. They are back in the house tonight since they aren't used to the cold yet.

What a lovely silkie flock! We only have one here and there...I cant imagine the fluffy overload one would get with a whole flock!

One question for you since you bread form your own hens.
I have two silkies. A splash hen, and a white rooster.

I have been incubating my hens first egg, and today is day 16.

What color chick will I probably get of it was not mixed with my other non-silkie rooster?

What color would you say these lil babies might be as adults? The father is a Porcelain bearded Silkie and the mom is either this white non bearded silkie hen or a black bearded silkie hen that carries the blue gene
