Silkie thread!

Hello silkie fans, I have a dilemma. So I was trying to change the water out and my silkie ran right under it in time enough and  got a splash of water over their body and now I've blowed dried em off and all, but now them feathers don't quite look so clean and fluffed as before. Any suggestions? The silkie is only two weeks old :(

I would just put the little friend back in the warm brooder...good you got it mostly dry. Now it just needs the chance to preen and gets it's little self all fluffy and cute again. :)

The odd thing is another egg from the same hen is rocking around 3 days early. Who knew Brucelee would pass on her mad skills. Strangest bator of eggs I have ever had.

Hoping the rest hatch healthy for you!! How many eggs do you have in your incubator?

I have so, but it appears the leg feathers just firmly stick to the legs . I'm wondering if I use an old cleaned tooth brush to kinda brush it if that'll do any justice. I'll keep you informed. Just hope it doesn't hurt the little one.

A mix of silkie Crosses. The chick will either be sired by a English Choc Orp or Cuckoo D'anver pure Cuckoo D'anver and hopefully pure Choc bantam orp. Staggered hatch till 2 15.
