I know what you're feeling, one of my chicks that hatched out in October has horrible issues with that, I trim the beak and put electrolytes in the water, but the reality is his crop is almost entirely empty 24/7. He is the sweetest chicken out of everyone I have, and I am very upset and I just don't know what to do. He acts fine but he can't be comfortable, but I'm still hoping he can stick it out :/ but yes when he hatched he had no issues, but the older he got, the worse it got.Ok, I am going to cry,one of my silkie chicks has scissor beak... I just noticed it last night and it's very slight, but after reading all the posts on scissor beak it sounds like it's going to get worse. This was the first chick that hatched, always runs right up to me when I open the cage (they were a week old on Tuesday). UGH. I am hoping it does ok, but realistic enough to know it probably is going to get worse.
