my 2 3 WK old and 3 1 week old silkies

thank you for this! Now I know what I have to look forward to!

got up this morning and turned the Silkies light on for them to start the day and within 30 sec. the Blue or gray, starting making a very horse kind of sound and would flap it's wings almost like a rooster crowing.... was it a attempt to CROW????
Would be great if it was cause I am hoping this one is a roo and the buff one is a pullet. So now as long as the other don't crow I be good!!!!

BUTT they are only 8 weeks old. Is it common for them to start that so young?????

So when people hatch out crossed beak chickens, do they pull the parents and all siblings from the breeding program, or is it thought to be a development/incubation problem and not genetic?

It's just an incubation mishap.

I have hatching eggs. Who wants them? Flock mixture. Some will be breeder quality, possible sq. $35 dozen unless very far away. Let me know. They are cute.

They weren't to sure about leaving the cozy coop,

They all enjoyed the new run I need better pictures. They grow so fast.

I have hatched other eggs but this will be my first silkies
The eggs will arrive next week
Do I treat the silkie eggs the same as my layers
I will appreciate any advice
