I think the combs typically do get bigger faster on the boys, However, I had a trio of chicks last December, and I sold the one with the comb getting bigger at 3-4 weeks (a LOT bigger!) and the two that I kept ended up boys, and the one sold ended up a girl. So I am skeptical now. That hen turned out gorgeous, I was so mad at myself for giving her up. It was a beautiful bearded bowtied paint showgirl.

Oh no!! Well geeze in that case I think i'll be keeping all my babies till one of them crows lol. I was getting a pretty good feeling about these ones being boys because of their weight and bigger combs but if there's even a chance they could be female then I guess i'll be keeping them lol. One of the questionable ones is my only splash so I really want to keep it if it ends up a hen :)
