Hi All,
I have 3 white silkies and I am thinking one is a roo. Is there any truth to their combs being red means they are a roo? Two of the silkies have black combs and one (whom I call Chuckie) has red and I think he is a boy.... or does the color even matter? They are about 2.5 months.

If he was close to maturity, a redder comb might indicate gender, but not at his age. It just means that he or she did not get a full set of the black skin gene. Likely has only one. I don't see anything in either bird that shows gender.

Hello all! I bought my first 2 silkies in February and am trying to figure out if they are girls or boys. The black one is only 1 week younger than the white and seems a lot smaller than the other. What do you think?
