Silkie thread!

Ok so I am incubating muscovy eggs I bought off someone and there was a mystery chicken egg. So for kicks, just to see if it would hatch the way I was incubating my duck eggs ( only turning once a day and a dry incubation until the eggs told me otherwise) I went ahead and placed the egg in the bator. 22 days later this lovely surprise popped out! How awesome is that. It's so adorable!!

I agree, very nice! Love the huge vault and fluffy cheeks. Looks like a partridge silkie to me :) I have a lighter partridge with a very similar vault. This one is mine :)

that little angel is beautiful! I was thinking partridge but I wasn't sure at all.
Thanks :) Yours too! Yep, the stripes on her back is a dead give away of partridge. The fun part is what color partridge. Your baby already looks dark so I could see it maybe being a red partridge or something similarly dark. :)

Awww I hope so!

red would suit me just fine. But really any color would be ok. This baby is a sweet heart! I put my hand down and the fluffy butt gets in my hand to snuggle!

Finally got some pictures of my 3 older babies. They are 7-almost 8 weeks old now. And all are getting in nice crests :)

The first one is the white pullet. At least I believe she is :)

Then there is the buff w/ the funky tall crest thats still filling out haha! I feel pretty sure she's a girl. What do you think?

And the last is my other white baby. This is the one I am thinking is a Roo, just going off of the shape of the crest, tail, comb, ect. The comb is wider then the pullet's but is still flat. I'd like to hope it's a girl but I have always felt roo on this one. What do you guys guess? I am probably going to have to sell this one.

20 eggs are ready to hatch any day! I'm very excited! I have two eggs that are already pipping. And I can hear little chirps. This will add to my already 11 chicks! I'm trying to stay up late to not miss a single thing. Maybe a little cat nap will be ok though. :) I have a mix of silkie and Americana
