Silkie thread!

Yes. U can have a Frizzled version of any breed if you breed a "normal" feathered version of that breed to a Frizzled chicken. A sizzle is an Silkie bred to a Frizzled chicken, but the sizzles have the regular "hard" feathers instead of the "fuzzy" Silkie type feathering. When u are breeding a Silkie to a Frizzled anything, sometime u get silkies with Frizzled "fuzzy" Silkie feathers. The babies that hatch with feathers like most other chickens, instead of the fuzzy look of a Silkie, are called sizzles. You can have a smooth feathered sizzle or a Frizzled sizzle, who's feathers flip around toward their heads. A Frizzled Silkie still had the fuzzy Silkie feathers, but they flip toward the head, instead of going the normal direction.

Did that help, or did I just confuse u? Lol Its pretty confusing sometimes. My bf looks at me like I'm an alien when I start talking Silkie, smooth Sizzle, frizzle sizzle, frazzle. Lol

Is this like "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers?"

Actually your info made perfect sense and was what I thought. Thanks for adding the info re the Frizzled Silkie and the Frizzled Sizzle differences. What would you call a Silkie with half Frizzled and half Sizzled feathering? Sounds like a fine line to make an accurate call on that one?

Meet my porcelain Twist "aka" Little Marbles. She is my Marbles reborn. I absolutely adore her! The inside shots she was 2 months old, in the outside shots were two weeks later. She had a pretty bad cross beak that I fixed. But she will always have a crooked beak... Twist. I have had to trim her cheeks and crest several times. She has the fullest fluff! And she was really skinny and quiet. So trimming was a huge help to her. When she gets older I would like to learn how to properly tape up her crest so I can save it from having to be cut off.

Here is Pickles, Little Marbles hopefully sister. Also a porcelain. Although they both are so very grey, I wonder at what point they change. Little Marbles has a slight moore cap which is really cool. Pickles has a light bib, and a huge crest. Her comb is turning redish, and there are 2 redish spots where waddles would be... I hope not a boy. Inside shot is also at 2 months, and outdoor shot is 2 weeks later.
