Yet another new mommie!

This is Charlie and she will only be 6 months old tomorrow!!! I was worried about her mommying skills because of her being so young but she is doing great. She hatched 7 chicks. Not all are silkies! But I think she hatched some of the cutest yet!!!

Am wanting to breed Lavender Silkies, right now I only have Splash Lav, Blue and Black. What colors do I breed together that will give me the best chance of getting a Lav. Silkie?

Am running out of ideas for finding silkies...it seems they're very popular but none available for sale.

And what *is* available won't ship unless 30 bantams are ordered or won't ship here at all.

So am looking for someone in northwest AL or central TN even up into KY who might be able to help. I don't need show birds but do need NPIP certified.

Basic gist of it - my godson has been here for a while and will be staying here indefinitely. His mom (my best friend) passed away last year so he's had a crash course on taking care of critters - chickens/rabbits. He was looking through poultry catalogs and likes silkies, especially blue silkies. Have another friend that offered to buy him a dozen silkie chicks - maybe a few blue and the rest whatever color...but now we can't find a dozen to buy. We don't show so it's not a big deal to have top show birds and wouldn't benefit a breeder as far as promotion. We have standard breeds here but his heart's set on some silkies. Is there anyone within the distance that might have some blue, maybe some buff and whites (or others) to make up the dozen? Thanks for any help
