Lol, sometimes also referred to as a ' wind egg ' . Pullet eggs that are misshaped , or overly small.

Very interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing if there is a yoke in this egg, though I'll probably wait until I have enough for a small omelet before I check.
Here is the egg next to a grade A large from the store.
The shape is perfect and the size definitely silkie sized.
This is the silkie I suspected and even if it isn't her's I still suspect it's a pullet.
She's just too sweet and the other ones are buttheads.
I noticed there was not another egg today and I had to collect her up off the perch in the run and put her in the coop tonight.
I thought that since I found her next to the nesting box, in the coop yesterday, she might have been tuckered out from producing her first egg, but who knows.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
