I couldn't resist taking her photos after LOL I plan on giving her few days break in a week sicne i know our heads hurt after ponytails. and I don't like the idea of tape as some people use because of pulling feathers out. She seems happy :)

What kind of band did you use? I know when I made chicken diapers I couldn't use velcro because of the fur getting tangled and pulled. I would think rubber bands would tangle and tear crest fur too? I saw someone on the Polish thread use strips of panty hose to tie up their Polish crests but then Polish feathers aren't furry like Silkies.

we just used a rubber band BUT it was just a quick fix. Tomorrow I am buying the ones you buy for babies and toddlers. the cloth ones.
