I couldn't resist taking her photos after LOL I plan on giving her few days break in a week sicne i know our heads hurt after ponytails. and I don't like the idea of tape as some people use because of pulling feathers out. She seems happy

lol! She does look annoyed in the last photo. But she was SO happy she could finally see. It did eventally fall off and she was sqawking lol. so will have to get the right sized ones for her.

What kind of band did you use? I know when I made chicken diapers I couldn't use velcro because of the fur getting tangled and pulled. I would think rubber bands would tangle and tear crest fur too? I saw someone on the Polish thread use strips of panty hose to tie up their Polish crests but then Polish feathers aren't furry like Silkies.

We use the no pull hair bands for kids. They work pretty well. You dont have to double it or anything, just put it on.

we just used a rubber band BUT it was just a quick fix. Tomorrow I am buying the ones you buy for babies and toddlers. the cloth ones.
