Well.... I had a aggressive rooster and. I tried all the normal things you could think of, nothing worked, sobi finally tried a very old Scholl trick on him and it helped. So you can put on many layers and let him attack the crap out of you and you just sta,d there not reacting in anyway until he just fives up. He might just see his attempts *** looking battle and leave you alone.
#2 then after a couple trys of that and it doesn't work you could catch him. Tie his legs together with a soft rope so he can't run or chance or attack you and leave him like that for about and hours and you do everything you need to do, and he can't do anything about it, try that a couple times

#3 If all else cells I have heard you can carry him around with you practically all day, this apparently makes the "friendly""?????

#4 when he attacks yiu, then you turn on him And attack him right back. You mimic a rooster fighting him and strike him back in the places a rooster would and then pin him on His back.

#5 win his way to his heart thru his stomach...???? All tricks I read about

Ohohoh . the last one. This one lady said her rooster attacked only her husband everyday. Her HUSBAND tried everything and nothing worked. Finally one day he started to act like rooster one day when the rooster ran up to attack him. He walked up to the roo. Started to paw the ground like a bull, flapped his arms like wings, and did the circle dance dragging one arm I, the dirt like a dominate rooster, he said that rooster stopped in his tracks and walked away and never attacked him again....????

My oldest partridge roo would be 5 . At 9 yours may have fertility issues. only way to know is collect some eggs from his girls and crack some open.
9 is a pretty good innings for any chicken.

Oh, I don't care about fertility. He's just a pet. I'm really not interested in having to care for peeps right now. He never was very aggressive with the hens anyway.

And just let him attack the crap out of you with you reacting in anyway until he just gives up. He might just see his attempts as not doing anything and then leave you alone.

I will try the rooster dance lol my neighbors already think I'm insane for keeping chickens (and there was an incident in the front yard with a very large spider and an air compressor) so why not? I don't want to get rid of him. He was my first silkie too. Although after today I'm not wearing anything but carhartt double front pants when I go in. I didn't react when he attacked my feet because they're heavy duty but after a few minutes he realized it wasn't working and attacked higher. Bit my leg through my pants pretty hard and wouldn't let go. He's got a bite on him for his size. I give him that. Maybe I will try both, not reacting and then acting like a rooster. See where it gets me. I'm guessing it's my size that has him up in arms since he has no reaction to my kids at all. He even lets my toddler push him out of the way to pick up a hen. So far anyway.

Yup just put them with "mamma" tonight
2 black ones are silkie/marans mixes, 1 chipmunk one is a lavender partridge sizzle & the 2 yellow & 1 black are from paint pen eggs

I am new to silkies are they a chicken that feel boney .I have regular chickens there pretty heavy and meaty the silkies are around 6-7 months old and i find boney they have food all the time turkey starter mixed with chicken layer .Any help would be appreciated

Need a bit of advice please. I have a 7 month old silkie roo. He's getting really onery. I hatched him myself and he's been my buddy until recently. The last month or so he's been on a mission to tear me to shreds and it's only getting worse. I've tried everything I can think of to snap him out of it. Am I fighting a losing battle? I'm proud of him for being so protective of his hens, after all that's part of his job, but I'm at my wits end with him. It's a battle to feed and water my flock. And my silkies are more pets than anything else and I'd like to be able to cuddle the others without him trying to tear my legs off. I know I could've posted this elsewhere but silkies are so different in so many ways that I thought maybe you all could give me some pointers. I do have young children so if all else fails he has to go. He doesn't mind them at all yet but I don't want that to change suddenly when my 1 year old wants to cuddle a hen.

I have this happen from time to time. Most recently was this winter. Although he's not quite a cockerel anymore he hasn't been with his girls a year yet. He became aggressive so what I did is I forced him to be cuddled. Everytime I went outside I caught him and cuddled. He finally came around after a few weeks. He was not raised to be close to people. I did handle him but not like I would to make him a pet. His intention was for breeding.
