Silkie thread!

I wasn't sure. We love him regardless. Thanks for the input, though. I hatched out some eggs from him and some barred rock hens and the babies are just gorgeous.

Now I'll have an excuse to buy some more eggs! LOL

I'v been working on Lemon blue silkies I just wanted to share a picture of one of my offspring. This is not the best colored chick but I really was not in the mood for pics so I just snapped one of this cutie all of them have the nice red chest and a beautiful blue coloring on the back looks dark in the pics but its a beautiful darkish light blue coloring.

What do you all think?

if u breed him to black all his babies should be barred

You think so? this was only a project nothing was 4-sure these are just the offspring from what I had mixed blue partridge would be a plus too.

Oh btw would it be blue partridge also if there is no peniciling?

Males have far less penciling than females, and if it is an F1 or F2 cross, reduced penciling is common. Adult feathers and subsequent molts can add penciling, too.
 
The mother of these babies is a non bearded blue hen with my weird colored roo...Here he is.

As I said before with him I have always thought he was a black with alot of gold leakage.
