Here is my White silkie, Yukon. she is a spoiled rotten little floof thing, and she will fall asleep on her back like this in my arms

( if you scroll from bottom to top, its like watching her fall asleep)

Idk what is up with her either, she just loves it! i think it may be from the first bath I gave her, I laid her like that to blow dry her chest floof, and she just fell asleep like that. Shes my favorite little floof, her brother/sister ( we really arent sure, this chick has huge waddles and and a large bubbly comb) love to do this too.

I have a beautiful young black Silkie pullet, a few months old and this week she started acting really strangely. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with her. She was standing in the corner of the brooder, only drinking, I did not see her eat. The 3 other Silkies were not picking on her or anything. Her crest had come in so full that I started to realize she was totally blind! I could barely find her eyes in all that fluff. I tried to trim it but my scissors are useless, so with some aloe I slicked back her crest. She is starting to eat a bit now. She was drinking a ridiculous amount of water just because she knew where it was. Poor girl! I knew the crest could affect eye sight, but never thought it could make a bird completely blind!
