Silkie thread!

My 3 silkie girls were 6 months when they started laying eggs.  I would get around 2-3 eggs a day.  Now at 7 months two of them decided to go broody and would not budge!  I gave them 7 fertilized Silkie eggs (4 eggs to one, and 3 to the other) so I'll see by Friday (hatch day) if they hatch!!

Good luck on the hatches!! I have one pair of Silkie's that just turned 6 months and the next group just turned 5 months. I haven't had an egg yet. Do you think they will start this winter or wait till spring?

Those are beautiful animals!  What kind of chicken are those?  I'm still learning

The black and white ones in the foreground are silver laced Wyandotte and the the one near the goat is a silver partridge silkie. thanks.

She just laid an egg n not sitting on them I hope a hen goes broody soon since there 14 eggs now
