What's the best way to trim the feathers right around silkies eyes this is 5hem right after me buzzing them which works but broke my buzzers and got dust fluff everywhere

It is so funny to hear owners are trimming their Silkies. I have two hens that will nibble each other's face fluff just around the eyes only so they can see. Since my two girls do it for each other I thought it was a common Silkie thing and never figured I needed to do it for them LOL.

Dang! Those are gorgeous. I'm looking for plain old Reds but they seem to be nonexistant... these would work perfectly for the project as well. Any chance you can ship to CA? How many cockerels are left? They're absolutely stunning.

You would have to call your state vet on monday to see if I could ship there. NPIP but for PT only and coming from MN. Many states declining shipping from here thanks to the AI outbreak. Available birds are on the sale page on my website.

Maybe a dumb question, but do Silkie roos have loud crows, quiet crows, or does it vary? Also do they easily breed with regular sized chickens?

Not a dumb question at all, every one can be different, but the 2 I have crow very loud & often.

O wow that's beautiful!! I love the color!! have never seen anything like that, not even if all the pictures I'v seen. Is that a " show worthy color" ? It sure should be. Now I want a red partridge!!!! yep I'll go along with that too. My Romeo is not loud but he is screechy.

Nope, I only have one noise sensitive chicken, but she's always been super timid.
