Silkie thread!

it isnt normal but what happen if it buff and has silkies feather its used to make silkies babies for the hatchery, porcelain from buff to lavender breeding with to lavender gene not shure what u get from white and porcelain

It will be fun to see what I would get. So the Buff silkie should not be used for breeding? Would they continue to be crestless?

Unless its the picture angle I'm seeing severe wry tail on the lighter one. That one should not be used for breeding if that tail stands off to the side all of the time.

He looks very bowling ball to me which is desirable (did I spell that right). I'm sorry nobody answered you. His house (that is what they call their body confirmation) is very good.
I have 1 that looks worse (

) than that. He is about 15 months old and just started to get the urge to breed. It is very difficult and I trim his vent area really well and also that of the hen. I also sneak in a little artificial insemination.

Can you get a better picture of him when he is standing still? His feet need to be under his body at about the same distance as his head sits back to make him look like a balanced bowling ball.

Sure I will try to get one tomorrow and get a couple of different angles so you can see him. Thanks for answering me. I didn't know this this was more of the look to try for??? You learn something new everyday with these silkies!!! LOL So he might have a good type but I know his color is off. He has some gold leakage and a more red comb. I will try to get some better pics! Thanks and I can't wait to see what you have to say about him!!! I did finally hear an attempt at a crow yesterday! LOL Oh my goodness! Artificial insemination!!! How in the world do you do that!!! LOL

ok dont laugh at us! we bought this rooster at an auction along with several other chickens. we were told he was a silkie, since we have been looking at byc we have our doubts.we love him as much as the rest of our chickees. his crow sounds just like a wolf howl! lol! is he even remotely a silkie?

I found some other pictures I already had of him. Do these help show what you are looking for? If not I can try to get more tomorrow.
