The pullets have been coming out more like this.



The cockerels have been everything from chesnut, to darker, to fiery red. Just to give you an idea of what some of these chicks will look like.

We're in southwestern mn. In your 3rd picture the one on the far left with the lighter color on its wings is what mine looks like. Do you have one that is all that color. If I was to breed my light partridge with another light partridge. Should I get light partride chicks?

Here are current pics of those younger $15 and $25 ones. They are lighter. Not sure if that is more what you are looking for. It will be probably 3-6 more months til they are old enough to breed though. The rest of the $10 younger chicks still have the chipmunk striped down.

Sleepy Eye MN... Southwestern MN. Its about 45 miles straight west of Mankato if that gives you an idea. You'd have to check MapQuest or Google for an exact route from your location. I plan on having a few of the extras at the Game Breeders Swap in Hutchinson on Feb. 20th. You could also check with Karen Wickham from up by Stanchfield. (might be a lot closer).

I ended up with a few of them this year. Some better than others.... Crossed partridge onto my old white hens and surprise!

what beauties. i didn't know silkies came in those colors.

This little guy is looking for a home. A hawk recently attacked and injured a hen and killed one of my older ones. I now have 3 roosters and 3 hens in my silkie pen. He gets along well with the other males, not to rough on the females and does not excessively crow. I just need a better ratio of Roos to hens. Please pm me if you are interested. I live in NW GA.
