I have a question for you Silkie experts. Does a Silkie have to be bearded to qualify as SQ? And how much does the average SQ roos cost? Thanks for the help

Well if it means show quality it doesn't have to be bearded to be show quality and for the show quality rooster I would price them any where from 20 to 35 dollars per bird

No, Silkies come in both bearded and non bearded varieties. I've seen nice Silkie roosters go for anywhere from $20-150 depending on the breeder, color, ect.

Maybe even 15 -25 i personally would try the first one first because show quality silkies don't pop out of the middle of thin air as I have been looking for some for over a month now

You've been looking for show quality birds for over a month and didn't know what "SQ" meant?

Yes me to I think I found someone though I am just going to have them shipped to me though because my parents arnt ever gong to drive over two hours down the road to get chickens
