Silkie thread!

Can anyone tell me what colors you will get with a splash hen and white roo. There are a few chicks that are light blue with a black dot on their head and near their rump.

it doesn't we feed all out chickens leftover popcorn.I have had them for four years

Well then you have been lucky. Some people also feed grapes to their chickens and others have had birds choke from doing so. To say it doesn't , might be your reality but then do you necropsy all birds that die in your flock ?
Just like feeding cooked chicken bones to dogs, some people say they have done it for years without incident, doesn't mean it can't or won't happen.
There is no nutritional value in popcorn so I'd suggest you find a better treat for your birds. :)

I had a mixed pen of White, Cuckoo, Partridge, and Blue, so your guess is as good as mine... I think it and all the other brownish-mottled ones are Partridge, but really it could come out any sort of weird color.

Agreed... I personally do feed my standard sized birds popcorn occasionally but given how many I have vs. how much popcorn is left over from the movies... each only gets 1-2 kernels which I'm not too concerned about. But my banties never get it, or any immature birds... they are too small to risk. The big ones can often handle themselves.

It has been well over 24 hours since our chicks were attacked by our own dogs in our house while we were gone and we have not been able to find them. I am holding out hope that they are hiding somewhere but at this point we may be searching for bodies. They must have found a tight space to hide in and then died of shock or injuries. We have checked under beds and the usual places but they may have gotten themselves behind the washer and dryer or some other space that will require moving furniture to find them. I am not able to walk right now while waiting for surgery so I had my daughter look after she got home from dress rehearsal. Tonight is opening night with a second show Friday night (first weekend performances) so she won't have time to search again until the weekend. I would love for them to start cheeping and come out of hiding but it has been far too quiet.

I had a big dog gulp down a baby chick and swallowed it hole before I even realized what was happening. If you don't hear them they're gone!

My silkies are not in anyway show quality, but I was wondering something.... They all looked basically the same as chicks except for two had a rose Comb and two had a single comb. Now at four years old, one is popping a beard out... How is that possible... To not be a bearded silkies for all that time, now all of a sudden she has a beard?
