Paint or Buff Silkie?

Do you mean paint or splash ?

I was just wondering if everybody
thought Paint. I want a Paint.

I will say that its beak and toes are very light, even for a paint which can have light spots in its black skin and beak. Its beak looks orange in the photo and made me wonder if it was pure Silkie.

Ironically, I just hatched a paint chick that has totally pink legs and toes and a pink beak! Just moments ago. :D

Paints have pigment holes.

Yes, but what about a paint chick that is almost entirely a pigment hole? I think the one I hatched is from my two young paints that have some obvious pigment holes. I was wondering what their chicks might look like and it is disappointing, but not surprising. I have really nice young paints from an older paint rooster that doesn't seem to have any pigment holes, over black hens.

Parent stock with pigment holes produce young with pigment holes. :)
