Silkie thread!

Question: I'm paranoid about hawks too. I have completely enclosed my pen.
I was wondering if putting some of those plastic owls (with bobble heads) would keep hawks away ???

I honestly don't get the point of those things... Hawks do not look at how am object is similar to them(they see it as a non living object that never moves), they pay attention to the movements... if a bird is dead (the object that looks similar to them)they could care less, but if the other bird is giving warning calls and flying and moving around as a way to act territorial then that would deter them. But some people swear by them.

My chicken pen is tighter than the Pteranodon cage on jurassic park...
My hands are cut, my nails are broke & I forfeited getting a new puse to make this happen...
Also my yard is fenced, so if anything or anyone thinks they're gonna come in from the land or air after my babies & I catch'em... May the force be with them

It doesn't I hung cd in all my trees which works great until there's no sun!! I let them out on a sunny days and it started to rain and the hawk killed my daughters partridge silkie!! She was small still not baby but not full grown idk if they can kill a full grown chicken!! but I had nightmares for weeks and cried and felt like it was my fault every time I looked out side and seen all the feathers it plucked from her!! it keep swooping at me now like its mad I wont feed it my chickens!! I love animals and could never hurt one but I wish is wasn't against the law to trap them because this pair has no fear!!!
