Silkie thread!

Does anyone have a silkie this fluffy?
Yup:

question, I want to dye my silkies for the Holidays since they are already use to getting baths and actually even enjoy them and they are getting sort of grimy after the snow and rain and mud in their run. Can you use food coloring to dye them or would I have to get the animal hair dye for dogs/cats?

Hey Chicken Friends! I am needing help! My new silkie babies (I finally got 5!! *squee*), but they seem to have an issue with pasty butt

. We've raised and lowered the heat lamp, maintained fresh bedding and water. Kept fresh food available. Am I just worrying for nothing or is this normal? What worked for you?

Chopwood Mom, I don't think it's a normal issue but does sometimes happen. I would just check them daily and keep it clean. I like to clean them up with some water and add a bit of Vaseline on after dry. It will help the poop not stick
