Showgirl question- if I breed bowtie showgirl to normal silkie, do I get 50/50 normal and bowtie?

WANTED: hoping I can post this on here as I am looking to buy, not sell. I need a paint Silkie rooster. Under 2, and he must be fluffy and correct. Has to be NPIP and if not from a surrounding state of NY, I need him shipped. Anyone know of one?

Actually research is telling me I need a black split paint rooster.

I'm on the West Coast but there is a NPIP Silkie breeder who ships from Calif. It's where I will go for my next Silkie. It's called Amber Waves Silkies. Be aware that USPS shipping costs are high. I just spent $62.50 just for the shipping from the Midwest for 2 juveniles not counting cost of the birds, cost of the shipping box, or weight of the box which all adds to the cost. Jennifer Anniston and Tori Spelling are two celebrities who purchased from Amber Waves Silkies. Amber Waves have had customers win with their Silkies at poultry shows. So if you are looking for Paint Silkies you can call them or contact them by email on their website. They also sell DNA sexed chicks upon availability so you can put in your order ahead of time. Not cheap but you get the sex and the color and the quality you want. Just be aware that not EVERY chick is show quality just because the parents were. Hope this helps.

Has anyone else ever seen the feather on their silkies neck look like they have been cut. Only some but not very many, I was just wondering if it was normal or should I be worried?

@RubyNala97 is in NY, breeds Paint and is NPIP... she's not on BYC much anymore, but has a FB page... I can look it up later if you'd like... she has great stock and is wonderful to deal with...
