These are the two I'm most confused about. Their mom has a bigger comb, so it makes it harder for me.

Now this seems like a cockeral to me!

Only that bottom one screams cockerel. It's that comb and crest.

Solid colors are hard to sex.

You crossed a bearded with a non-bearded? That can make it harder as the wattles are different on the two varieties.

Thank you for your help. Mom and Dad are actually brother and sister, so the bearded gene is def there.
Will a pullet act like a cockeral when they "play fight". The blue and the black in the first pic will puff out their neck feathers like their brothers do, but they never spar for very long.

These two look terrible right now
They are a month old. The quality looks good though.

The beard and muff gene is dominant. One copy doesn't give as full of a beard as two copies will.

Without watching I couldn't say. Even females establish a pecking order though. I have one hen who likes to pick fights with specific roosters. They run

Oh don't I know it! Lol. Hens definitely rule the roost..and rooster! I'll see if i can get a short video today. Thanks again.

One of my Silkies just laid her first egg today! Yay. I was a bit confused cuz it was a very light brown and thought they laid white or cream, but it was definitely her I went to check the boxes and there she was sitting in the middle one. It's the one no one else uses. At first, I thought she was just resting in it then few minutes later I checked on her again and there she was with the cutest little egg.

Congratulations! ;)
My two are only 5 months old and unsexed (though I'm fairly sure they're hens). I put a cardboard box on its side in their pen when I first got them. They ignored it until recently, now I see them going in and resting all the time. They've kicked a lot of shavings into the box. Hopefully this will mean they're hens starting to think about laying.

I wonder if they make an egg laying announcement sound? My coturnix quail make a high pitched sound similar to someone letting air out of a balloon, then they nod their heads up and down with a quivering motion. The roo always comes running to inspect the new egg.

Mine didn't do an egg song that I heard but we will see if her sister does. Only 2 of my other chickens do, the rest are sneaky.
