As she gets older, it's getting pretty obvious.

One of my Silkies just laid her first egg today! Yay. I was a bit confused cuz it was a very light brown and thought they laid white or cream, but it was definitely her I went to check the boxes and there she was sitting in the middle one. It's the one no one else uses. At first, I thought she was just resting in it then few minutes later I checked on her again and there she was with the cutest little egg.

My black silver back sizzle has gone broody so she has 8 eggs to sit on. If they are fertile the colors could be blue, black, splash or white. It's her first time so we'll see what happens.

You'd think with foot feathering this heavy, they could walk across the snow with ease. Built in snowshoes.

I've never had a silkie willingly set foot on the white stuff in the years that I've had them.

That's because they prefer nice, cozy tootsies. I know this because my two now insist on perching on my arm or hand whenever I hold them each day. They may have feathers on the top but their hot little soles are bare.

Ok what color and thoughts on gender? 13 weeks old and it has a in between comb as far as size goes.

I’m getting a boy vibe but my known boys this age have had huge combs for months
