I feed 20% to 22%. All depends on what is on sale. I never go below 20%. I mix in 28% game bird feed during molt.

Ok for those of you that sell chicks, what do you sell them for?

Any suggestions on the color of these 5 week old chicks. I don’t have grey or partridge. My cockerel is black from paint and layers are white, black(that is getting brown), and paint. One chick is grey with white pattern on feathers the other is same based color but getting brown pattern (top right of picture)

Finding quality Silkies is hard but a couple of us in GA are proud to have them. my Silkies. I will have some quality blacks soon.

Hi. I have my first Silkies, newly hatched a couple of days ago. Any thoughts on what colour these babies will likely end up becoming please? Too young to tell between boy's and girls right?

Boy I love this little guy. He is so awesome with his ladies. I call him and he comes running and the ladies follow. Tonight I called him and then went in the coop he kept going out to make sure the stragglers were on thier way. Then once the girls are all in and eating the scratch he goes over and eats the pellets in the feeder letting the girls have their fill of the treats.
