Bigdawg you gonna be there? Are you showing? Are you selling? I will be there and would love to run into a few of you gals/ guys out there. It is nice to get to know my competition ya know. No I am not even showing just looking and maybe buying! I will be over with the Alexander's who are showing EO's, but plan to make my rounds looking at the silkies.
Joe17 and Bigdawg I think others have said she is throwing partridge. I may grow them out just to see, one has maybe 5 feathers on the hackles on top the other maybe 7 sprigs of hair just the ends right about the breast. Both have really nice vaults and seem to be feathering out nicely. I will post pics Sunday. One is blue one is black I love them both are really wanted to add them to the breeding pen with te other b/bs Yates babies.
So who all is going to the Cookville show and what are you brings to show/sale? I am looking for b/b silkies and showgirls if you have some that need a good loving home with a fan and heating lamp in the coop and a fully covered run, and treats served daily. Or I will be setting eggs next week if you just have eggs that need a good warm bator to sit in 21 days or so. hahah

No problem. I have 2 month-olds in with the general mixed flock and my black silkie roo hangs out with them and protects them like he's Momma hen. So funny!

Can someone tell me what this silkie is mixed with. My friend picker it up and was told that this was a partridge silkie. Dont think So???
