I have these silkie babies and no, I won't ask sex (yet!), but I am confused about the colors. Can you tell me if I have black and partridge?

Black? But what's with the gold? And it's not really dark.

Partridge? Lots of red in the head.

what colors are the parents ? I have noticed that there is a lot of variance within partridge they are not all ideally marked. yours are adorable. right now we have white and cuckoo babies. hubby keeps saying something about them going outside, but I can't hear him over the peeping

I don't remember what the breeder had and they were all running around together. I think it was just the usual suspects, black, white, splash, buff, partridge and maybe a cuckoo. Nothing exotic like I saw in the other thread (drool). We picked out 4 hoping for buff, splash, black and partridge but we got two whites and these two.
