Silkie thread!

I made the mistake of counting the silkies downstairs in the brooders today. Usually I just check individual birds and try not to think about the fluffy army in the basement. there are 25 silkies and 3 mottled japs

now just as long as hubby doesn't count them I should be ok. did I mention the 32 eggs in the bator and the five broodys

Moving the last of my silkie chicks out of the garage into a grower pen. Moved the older birds into a larger pen, looks like 9 girls 5 boys.

Its probably about 50/50, but it seems the last 2 or 3 hatches each year have more girls than boys.
