Silkie thread!

Just stopped by to say Hi...hope all the Silkies out there are doing well!! Some of ours are molting and some are starting to lay again after a hot humid summer...chicks!!!

Anybody here breed greys? I hatched out 2 greys this summer, thought they were 2 girls, but one started crowing yesterday, so I looked it over and yup I have a pair. I have to decide if I am going to keep them or not. They are beautiful though. How hard is it to breed the grey's and does anybody have a picture of a nice gray hen and cock or pullet/cockerel. I'll have to get some pictures later.

I raise Grays, I have several chicks I will have to get some pics though. To me it is like breeding Partridge, but again I have never seen a Gray silkie to fit the SOP description of a Gray silkie.

ETA I have noticed there are light, medium and dark grays silkies,(similar to partridge silkies)

Is this what is called a Grey? If not what is it called? "Comet", a split lavender, is about 4-5 weeks old in this picture:

Looks like a dark Gray to me.
