I took butter to a church brunch today and was a bigger hit then i thought . The little old ladies loved her though the hostess was a bit taken aback as it was a fancy brunch

I also broght my son in his PJ's ( didnt realize it was something formal she just texted me and said comeover at 1130 and Ill feed ya , )
Butter looking around and my son being a cheese
Butter stayed in her bag on a chair while we ate , she loved the green beans and the mac and cheese

OMG that is SO cute!!

Butter has a bad leg , has had one since day one , I hatched her in a brinsea mini , Goot little bator but the bottom dosnt have a screen on it like styro bators and is slick as snot , didnt even think about it when I set the eggs I was just so excited to have something better then a LG . I dont know if thats why she has a bad leg or not though , it wasnt spradle leg in the sense that I am use to , and I codunt find a local vet that would even look at her, I tried wrapping her leg in place but although it got to face the right direction its still out of joint or something.
I wonder if massage and chiroprator or what not would help her I guess I would have to find a vet willing to x ray and make sure the joint itself is ok and not deformed then we could guess it would be a muscle tendon or whatever type thing.

My baby is just like this, she has her own carry bag and diaper and she loves attention! She goes (almost) everywhere with me

How does she walk now?

I used to have quite a few silkies but one night i had a raccoon problem...it was not a good morning for me.. i only have one left and he is my rooster. i am hoping to get more soon they are one of my favorite birds.
I am very sorry for your loss. Silkies have a way of tugging at our hearts. :-(
I am sorry about your girl :hugs . I hope you find a solution. Here we had more silkie drama. I had to put down one of mine 2 months old. "She" broke her legs pretty bad. It was so sad but the poor girl was suffering and wasn't able to eat, drink, or even stand. I guess she is in a better place now.
What awful news! I am sending warm thoughts and many hugs to you!

The wry tailed chick is still so young and tiny. And it seemed to appear so suddenly after the Welsummer broke into the pen, but I can't be sure it isn't genetic. I'm not yet sure if I will keep her or not.

Awesome -that is something I want to hear. And I can do that. I've hatched and re-homed more roosters this year. I'm dissappointed that I maybe won't get to keep the blue pullet because of her wry tail but at least I'll get a head start on a future white breeding pen by keeping the white pullet. And I wouldn't even mind mixed color chicks for people that just want pets. Thank you!
This is more off than the ones I have had recover, but I sure hope she does.
I know someone who took their bird to a veterinary chiropractor and more or less resolved the issue with massage therapy/adjustments.
Wow!!

Many of us have known the heartbreak of predators. I'm so sorry for your loss.
