Really hard to evaluate chicks at this age. I look for leg and foot feathering and take a peek at their wing fan, but I don't really start to know what I've got till about three months and even then it's just a beginning. At four months I have a pretty good idea if I have a nice girl but it takes a lot longer for the boys.

Your chick seems to have a fairly large comb for this age which could mean boy but not necessarily. Silkies often take several months to sex.

I know I'm not Mumsy, but I'd say cockerel.

It doesn't have a very big comb, but it holds its chest up high like a cockerel.
