Silkie thread!

Here's a current picture of my top blue/splash pen roo. His first babies are in the incubator. I'm so excited!

Another treasure from Catdance!

Oh no, you'll have to write on the carton DO NOT EAT!
Now only if my dog could read!!!!! The other day I had eggs in a carton on the table to put in the incubator and noticed the dogs were being too quiet so decided to go and check on them... there stood Hoolie with an egg in his mouth!!! Stupid me said "Hoolie!!" and he dropped it... not wasted though because Ophelia ran over and ate it... If I had not overreacted I could have just walked over and taken it out of his mouth!!!!

Thanks so much!!
The trick will be getting them to use any nest box!
I've been wondering if duck eggs would hatch under a silkie as the incubator requires that you mist them.
not sure, I don't know anything about ducks and or their eggs

Just thought i'd try it, was just gonna get eaten anyway.

Just looked it up, you can hatch them under a hen, didn't say anything about misting the eggs.

Professional pictures from the Northeastern Poultry congress! Photographer David McIntyre was there doing professional photographs. He did 2 of them for free because he said my birds were the most well behaved and he wished all of the birds were just like them

Yeah I was a bit put off by the legs on some of the other birds there... One bird that got his photo taken after Nori had scaley leg mites, I was glad I didn't have any other birds to take pictures of, I wouldn't have put my bird where that was was!
