It will make a nice pet but not good for showing.I just realized my 4 week old is a six-toed Silkie! Is that bad?
It's possible she has an ear infection which can also cause wry neck and as mentioned it could be caused by mites. If it's an infection she will need antibiotics.I need your help Silkie Experts....my young hen has a crooked neck(wry neck?) AND a large lump where her "ear"(the pretty blue spot) is? Im giving vitamins in the water and the Poly Vitamins(babies with out iron)....any other suggestions? Thanks so much!
My self-blue chicks often look black when they are wet and dry almost white. My first Silkie baby from my very own flock just hatched![]()
I'm pretty sure its from one of the blue cream x blue eggs and it looks black? Its still wet though, so maybe its really dark blue. I'll post pics when its done resting and fluffy![]()

What a sweetie!
Awesome chick!!
I'm assuming you got them from a hatchery? They will be wonderful pets but hatchery birds rarely are usable in a breeding program.<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10151695642773312" width="226" height="400" frameborder="0"></iframe>
